Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and singer. She was born in New York City, in the United States on November 22, 1984. Her work has garnered an acclaim in a diverse selection of genres like the genres of period drama, thrillers and action-packed adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and raised there by her father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Hunter was her twin as well as Johansson, were among the youngest kids. At the age of seven years old, she was auditioning for television commercials. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later took classes at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to improve her acting skills. The film, The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of an incredibly tragic accident. In Ghost World, 2001 as the outcast teen Rebecca was a further boost to her profile. While she made her on-stage debut with Wildflower she also worked with various theatre projects in the USA. She studied at her first Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
